Mackie designs hardware and manufactures it in the USA. Behringer reverse engineers Mackie's (among others) design, replaces some parts with cheaper ones, and manufactures in China. Mackie has lost a lot of money as a result and has had to move some production abroad. The folks at RME are not stupid. Lee
