Thanks, I tried that but it doesn't seem to work. People have complained in the
forum. Even with the same PDF as one person it got it working but not other
people. I converted my JPG to PDF first with imagemagic but also with
libreoffice-draw and several incarnations of my JPG (bw, gray and full color).
I will go through the forum again.
https://musescore.com/import seems to use the software suggested by Christopher
Arndt. I'll see if it needs some custom made PDF.
