Anything I could try on my end?

Try logging in to the Gmail web interface, and check:

- Does the Gmail web interface show the same emails in your inbox as
   Thunderbird shows you?

yes

- Ditto for spam/junk/trash?

- Ditto for any other relevant folders/tags?

- Have you set (and perhaps forgotten about) any Gmail filters that
   might be relevant?

I do have a (thunderbird) filter since years which moves emails with to, cc LAU email address into a 'sub-directory' and that is working on (after) email which is incoming (including e.g. this one, which did come in...)

- Gmail's recommended IMAP2 (or POP3, if you are using that)
configuration: confirm that this is what your Thunderbird instance is
   using.

It is, and everything works well in Thunderbird

Also check:

- Is your Thunderbird up to date? Does the version you are running have
any known bugs causing mail to be lost/hiddden?

It is up-to-date, I'm not sure about bugs, but this is happening only with certain LAU mailing list setting so I'd be cautious in 'blaming' a thunderbird bug, also because these aren't reaching the mailbox (e.g. in the gmail web client)

- Do you have any plugins/settings in Thunderbird that could be causing
   the issue?

- Is your Thunderbird mailstore on a healthy filesystem on a healthy
   HDD/SSD?

same as above

Hopefully these checks will locate the issue.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Lorenzo
