Well, Paul isn't involved all that much with the development any more,
right?  The post-original-developer phase is often not unproblematic
since the reasons for things being in some manner are no longer readily
accessible, and when questions require quite a bit of research rather
than remembering, the likelihood of noone doing the necessary work is
definitely higher than when the original author is around.

But that is not as much "Pipewire is the future" as "Pipewire is a
project in the initial responsive phase".  There are quite a lot of
projects that were the future and then were not.  If one could reliably
tell in advance, that would save some work.
