True, the original score feature was removed long ago from MusE. It is now called MusEScore. But a new score feature was re-added to MusE a few years ago. It may not be the most advanced, but the fellow who added it did a remarkable job. I told him, hey, I'd be happy if we could at least just /read/ the pianoroll in a score format. But he made it editable. Yup, MusE is still in /intensely/ active development by yours truly and a small team. I am told the version in deb repos is quite old and I should contact them about that. We have a long awaited final version 3 coming out soon-ish (TM). Therefore I recommend the git master for now. It is quite stable. AFAIK MusE is the only Qt based DAW that can open virtually all LV2 plugin guis including the Gtk ones. The past year has seen quite a bit of very tough bug killing which took a long time. Some of it caused by upstream stuff. There are also branches I'm working on that add or correct all kinds of things. So drop by and say hello, give recent MusE a try.
