It's questionable if Ardour is a good tool for somebody using it 10 to 15 hours a year, when this person already tested Ardour and is asking for alternative DAWs. Shortened questioning: Is latency compensation needed? Are mixer subgroups needed? If not Qtractor audio might be able to replace Ardour, assuming Qtractor should run stable, what it usually does. It should be possible to find out what makes Qtractor unstable when the OP is using it. After balancing pros and cons again, perhaps an open source code and free as in beer are less important, than getting a more intuitive GUI that is much easier to use for somebody who doesn't spend more than 15 hours a year with using it. _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.linuxaudio.org/listinfo/linux-audio-user
