We quite recently had a thread here giving some pages were Linux support
for audio hardware is listed:

If the MG166c-usb is not listed on any of these pages and a yagooglebing
search for "yamaha mg166c-usb linux" doesn't turn up anything, chances
are slim that usb audio will work between the Yamaha and Linux,
especially since Yamaha has a history for requiring special drivers for
their audio hardware.
