Not THAT hard. I've written a couple of sequencers on Pd. And there are several out there.

Looking at that screenshot (a bit naively as I never really had/tried that kind of hardware) I wonder how hard it would be to clone that in Pd... just wondering... Probably not *that* hard... just wondering.
