I suspect that this card is indeed not supported by hdspmixer at this 
time and would likely require some work by Thomas Charbonnel. You 
couldn't be in better hands when he gets going.

In the meantime, if this card is accurately supported by the driver 
you've loaded (it may not be...) then you could try some set of amixer 
commands to attempt to set levels and routing.

If you're early experiences are anything like my HDSP 9652 experiences a 
year ago then I would suggest trying to record before you try playing 
back. The reason for this is that input channels either do or don't make 
it in and you can more quickly tell if the amixer commands are 
performing as you wish. On the output side you have to not only set 
levels, but you also have to set routing. That makes getting output from 
the RME cards more difficult than getting input.

Once you can correctly record you may (or may not) have enough info to 
get the output side going.
