I can only tell you about MusE. MusE does support syncing over MIDI. It was 
however implemented some time ago and whether it works as it should I don't 
know, I haven't tried it. I seem to recall someone managing to partially sync 
ardour and MusE a while ago. E.g. it worked with MusE as master but only 
pressing play not stop or something similar, not quite usable ;).
The current version of MusE does not have support for jack syncing. I think 
Werner has implemented it in cvs though. It's coming up in version 0.7. I 
would not recommend you to try the current cvs though, not yet, it's very 
much in flux.
