The sl-modem-dkms package in content is "in fact" just the old sl-modem-source.

The name sl-modem-dkms merely serves as a trigger to run the DKMS
functions, instructed by the dkms.conf  already in the sl-modem-source
package, which is installed to /usr/src/sl-modem-version

For details on how this cleverness works, browse with:
less /var/lib/dpkg/info/sl-modem-source.postinst
