I'm trying to setup a simple fax server using the pci modem in the subject. I used scanmodem, followed the instructions, downloaded http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/ltmodem/11c11040/agrsm06pci-2.1.80~20100106.tar.gz, compiled and installed the modules. I did a partial test by calling a phone number and the phone rings. I supposed everything was working fine so I did not set up a dialup connection. After that I started the configuration of hylafax. And here there's some problem. Whenever I run a hylafax command there's a kernel panic: Dec 30 16:19:17 fileserver kernel: [ 310.573390] kernel BUG at kernel/timer.c:866! Is there something else I can do? Is it a driver or a hylafax problem? Thank you maxx
