Dear Marco,

I hope you do not mind, but if you can please download scanModem.gz
and do the following:

http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/scanModem.gz

Download the above file, copy it to your linux partition, then run the
following commands where you copied the file to a certain directory
$ cd `to_the_directory_you_copied_scanModem.gz`
$ gunzip scanModem.gz
$ chmod +x scanModem
$ sudo ./scanModem

it should output some files and a directory (Modem) with a file called
ModemData.txt. Please send us (discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx) the file
ModemData.txt. With the information from ModemData.txt we can proceed
to give you further advice with regards to the internal modem on your
machine.

Best Regards,

Antonio
