Jonathan,

Hashem is having troubles compiling hcfpcimodem drivers for his modem:

For candidate card in slot 05:00.0, firmware information and bootup
diagnostics are:
 PCI slot	PCI ID SubsystemID	Name
 ----------	---------	---------	--------------
 05:00.0	127a:1026	127a:1026	Communication controller: Rockwell
International HCF 56k PCI Speakerphone Modem

 Modem interrupt assignment and sharing:
 --- Bootup diagnostics for card in PCI slot 05:00.0 ----
[    0.181114] pci 0000:05:00.0: [127a:1026] type 0 class 0x000780
[    0.181133] pci 0000:05:00.0: reg 10: [mem 0xfb000000-0xfb00ffff]
[    0.181144] pci 0000:05:00.0: reg 14: [io  0xc000-0xc007]
[    0.181206] pci 0000:05:00.0: PME# supported from D0 D3hot
[    0.181211] pci 0000:05:00.0: PME# disabled

 The PCI slot 05:00.0 of the modem card may be disabled early in
 a bootup process, but then enabled later. If modem drivers load
 but the modem is not responsive, read DOCs/Bootup.txt about possible fixes.
 Send dmesg.txt along with ModemData.txt to discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
 if help is needed.

Predictive diagnostics for card in bus 05:00.0:
	Modem chipset  detected on
NAME="Communication controller: Rockwell International HCF 56k PCI
Speakerphone Modem "
CLASS=0780
PCIDEV=127a:1026
SUBSYS=127a:1026
IRQ=14
HDA2=00:1b.0
IDENT=hcfpcimodem

 For candidate modem in:  05:00.0
   0780 Communication controller: Rockwell International HCF 56k PCI
Speakerphone Modem
      Primary device ID:  127a:1026
 Support type needed or chipset:	hcfpcimodem

He got the file:

http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hcf/full/archive/hcfpcimodem-1.21full/hcfpcimodem_1.21full_i386.deb.zip

and is getting errors. What can be done about it?

Thank you in advance,

Antonio
