Use this package since you are running 2.6.27.12 kernel $ tar -zxvf martian-full-20080625.tar.gz $ cd martian-full-20080625 $ make all $ sudo make install $ sudo modprobe martian_dev $ sudo martian_modem Leave it running, and then open a new terrmial and type $ sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf and hope it finds the modem port /dev/ttySM0 If it does find it, open file /etc/wvdial.conf with sudo priviledges and add your username, password, ISP phone number and a add a line "Carrier Check = no" to the file and save it.
