You are almost done!!!!

It seems that you just don't know these two features:
-to terminate a successfull or failing (looping) session, use CTRL-C (hold 
the CTRL key and press C)
-to prevent wvdial from redialing, add this line in /etc/wvdial/conf:
Dial Attempts 1

That's a 1 = one (number of attempts)
