Nicola, The martian variant does not support fax. Uninstall the martian_dev.ko driver. >From http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/ltmodem/kernel-2.6/ get the ltmodem-20100102.tar.gz which is sometimes fax effective. But it you really want robust fax, you should invest in the more expensive Controller chipset/hardware modems.
