Tu Install the sl-modem-source and sl-modem-daemon packages, and modem setup will be automated upon boot.This includes creating the /dev/slamr0 and /dev/ttySL0 --> /dev/pts/N , the latter being the true modem port, N a number You should set your country with: $ sudo gedit /etc/default/sl-modem-daemon replacing the default USA. Do $ slmodemd --countrylist to check the specification for INDONESIA http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/ has a package faxing.tar.gz with examples.
