This software Agere  packages agrsm06pci-2.1.80~20100106.tar.gz or
agrsm-11c11040-2.1.80~20091225.tar.bz2  at
http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/ltmodem/11c11040/ should in
principle support your USB modem,  But there is yet to be a success
report despite several tries.
Loading agrmodem, agrserial will create a port /dev/ttyAGS3, which is
the true modem port.
