Marvin/All, A closer look revealed that I have a mixed success with this Ubuntu 9.10 kernel. For example, wvdialconf crashes the kernel reproducibly if the machine has been woken up from hibernate. I have tested the following two scenarios: 1. reboot, load the modules, hibernate, wake up and run wvdialconf 2. reboot, hibernate, wake up, load the modules, run wvdialconf The corresponding dmesg.log and dmesg2.log output files are attached, if anybody is interested. The quick hack to avoid the above two crashes is attached. This whole ResumeCallBack business is implemented somewhere inside the *_shipped blob, maybe it is not 100% compatible with the modern snd_hda_intel power saving features, I don't know.
