After installing wvdial-karmic the readme.txt said that the modem specific driver must be loaded and the modem activated, however it did not give any instructions for doing that. This was confirmed when I tried to run wvdialconf; I received an error message saying that the modem was not detected. As ModemData.txt said might happen, it appears the modem was disabled during bootup but not enabled later. Can you tell me how to fix this? I would appreciate any help you can give.
