You're welcome.

Antonio, sorry this little fix didn't enable dialout for you. It was
just to allow compilation on latest kernels. 'err: slamr0: modem start
= -1: cannot start device' seems to indicate that some change is
needed in the way the device is initialised or accessed.

I don't use slmodem, and don't have the hardware to test it, so I
won't be looking further into this.
