Slamr is providing service into the 2.6.30 kernels, but service has failed for the kernels such as your Ubuntu 2.6.31-14-generic kernel. Sadly the creator of this driver is no longer aiding us, so there is no promise for a fix in the short term. Read the InfoGeneral.txt about altermative hardware.
