hi modem men, on http://listing.driveragent.com/pci/1106/3068/* you can see that Askey ships its V1456VQL-P1 modem with the Smartlink driver, while other manufacturers ship PCTel's "HSP56MR softmodem" with "Host Signal Processing" since the codec silicon is by PCTel (now Conexant). does that mean that there is more hardware that works with slmodem, which in Windows does not use the SLmodem driver ? quixotic Frank
