Before doing the make commands, you must be in the folder  martian-full-20080625
Therein there will be shown by
$ ls
at least the files/ and/or folders/:
ChangeLog  Cleaning.txt  Concept  INSTALL  kmodule  Makefile
martian.h  modem  README  sample.txt   scripts

the "make something" commands must be executed in a folder containg a
Makefile/makefile.
