Anthony Brown,
     Chris is having trouble with a "Level 3 Comm" login, which I
remember you finally achieved success with.
Would you please work with Chis, and presently report back to the List.

I note that there are several others having trouible with "Level 3 Comm" logins

Marvin

The behavior is very erratic it seems. I have Username = a_real_username
in /etc/wvdial.conf and not ATDT9087514072

I did add the Carrier Check = no and it didn't really seem to do
anything initially. At least not the first time I dialed. The next
couple times though it send the right username though. No logical
explanation as to why. It still says the password is bad though. It all
seems very erratic to me as far as what it is sending as the username.
I'm not sure if the Carrier Check = no actually solved the username
issue since it didn't send the right name the first couple times after I
added that. I got this below though the last couple times though when
the right username was sent:

ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ sudo wvdial

--> Initializing modem.
