Hi!

It took almost a week, but I have finally physical access to this machine...

But it insists not to work...

I have disabled all of them, except for eth2, and got the same results.

Just for the records, I did what you said, but I had to avoid loading
modules at boot time, so I had to update my initrd, with
# update-initramfs -u

I have also changed the IRQ options in BIOS; the os selected is
non-PnP (and apparently I cannot change that) and tried to set some
irqs to reserved

I have:

$ dmesg | grep -C3 slam
[ 12.052537] NVRM: loading NVIDIA UNIX x86 Kernel Module 173.14.09

[ 12.207767] device-mapper: ioctl: 4.13.0-ioctl (2007-10-18)
initialised: dm-devel@xxxxxxxxxx

Finally, I tried to move the pci card to another slot. So, I think
have covered every step from Bootup.txt, except 8 (I do not have other
distros here) and 9 (I have a 404 for this directory).

Should I try newer versions of slamr? I am using the standard from
debian lenny...

Any other ideas?

I hope everything went well ;)

Thanks,

Tiago.
