At At http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/ltmodem/kernel-2.6/martian/
you need the most recent martian-full package
Before compiling you must additionally install packages linux-libc-dev
and libc6-dev package. They may be on your install CD, or if not can
be downloaded through
http://packages.ubuntu.com. After downloaded and copied to your
Ubuntu partition,
install then with:
$ sudo dpkg -i li*.deb
Then you will be readly to use the martian-full package, which can be
unpacked with
$ tar zxf martian*.tar.gz

However, there is a preliminary problem in

 The PCI slot 00:0b.0 of the modem card may be disabled early in
 a bootup process, but then enabled later. If modem drivers load
 but the modem is not responsive, read DOCs/Bootup.txt about possible fixes.
 Send dmesg.txt along with ModemData.txt to discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
 if help is needed.

Whoever after installing the drivers, try a reboot and rerun scanModem.
Sometimes installing the driver helps.

Report back presently.
