Hello,
I'm running slmodem.2.9.11-20080817 on a kernel version 2.6.24 (gNewSense)
scanModem detected nVidia modem and suggested driver snd-intel8x0m which I load.
I start slmodem like:
sudo slmodem -c ARGENTINA -d --alsa modem:1
connection to modem from minicom or cutecom works ok for dialing and
ATA, but it does not detect ring.
If I start with --ringdetector the modem goes off-hook and stays like that!
Any suggestion?

PS: BTW I had to fix ./scanModem to be able to work on gNewSense. My
line 217 is now
