Thank you.  So this means that it is effectively impossible to get my modem to work with Linux, at least for now?  If that's so, do you have any idea what the time frame is for Demo's fix?  I have no idea how complicated this kind of work is, although I suspect it's very complex.  

Would it be easier for me just to replace the modem with one that is Linux compatible?
