Maurizio,

Non parlare o capire molto italiano, ma io cercherò di aiutare(cheated used Google translation)

In some ways it is kind of similar to Spanish so I can somewhat relate and understand a bit, but not all.

You have installed Ubuntu to a virtual drive ==> disco virtuale,

The version that scanModem recommended, you were not able to find it?

Can you connect to the internet from a virtual machine? I suppose you can nor I see why you should not.

Maurizio has found version 7.80???? while scanModem recommends 7.68 which was not found in the webpage, does this make a difference and if so could we send the package as an attachment throguh email.

I hope that I did not screw up in my interpretation of Maurizio's message. I hope some of our Italian friends and others who know Italian can help us here guide Maurizio and help him set the modem up.

Regards,

Antonio
