Ken,

RE: In function 'open',
   inlined from 'datafile_save_info' at modem_datafile.c:114:
/usr/include/bits/fcntl2.h:51: error: call to '__open_missing_mode'
declared with attribute error: open with O_CREAT in second argument
needs 3 arguments
-----------------
This is an outstanding problem under kernel 2.6.27-7-generic , which I
have previously reported.

We are still seeking a fix to this compile problem.
However a work around which you could test is possible.
I am traveling now however without much time online.
Stay tuned, I'll send you a test resource kit in a few days.

The Smartlink hardware has been quite reliabe under earlier kernels.
So likely we can work this through.

Stay tuned.
