Dityo,

Marv clarified that modem chipset. He explained it in a mail that he sent to the list after. The Intel 537 drivers would not help get this modem going :(

I am trying to find the place where he stated that there was some kind of problem with the diagnostics and to try things out for cases like this one.

He also sent you the following advice to get the other modem going because the 11c11040 code failed/was not working:

Dityo,

There are other drivers to try. From
http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/ltmodem/sv92/ get the
agrsm-20080203.tar.gz

I can't seem to find the message that Marv sent regarding the INTEL 537 advice for the modem

For the other modem:

 For candidate modem in: 02:0a.0
0703 Modem: SILICON Laboratories Intel 537 [Winmodem]
     Primary device ID: 1543:3052
Support type needed or chipset: Motorola_on_1543:3052

Regards,

Antonio
