Hi,
with the very limited information provided, I will try to guess what
happened.
I suspect that the user has a HDA modem and sound device and didn't
install alsa-driver-linuxant so the built-in HDA bus driver of the HSF
driver is being used. This build-in HDA bus driver is getting old and is
no longer maintained and perhaps it doesn't support the user's sound device.
This this hypothesis is right, installing alsa-driver-linuxant available at:
http://www.linuxant.com/alsa-driver/
is likely to solve the problem. If not, Usama should send us (at
support@xxxxxxxxxxxx) the output of 'dumpdiag'. Type the following in a
root shell:
---
hsfconfig --dumpdiag
---
Just send the generated file located in /tmp ('hsfdiag.txt'). It'll help
us solve the problem.

Thank you very much. my friend used this drivers and it worked.
The drivers that worked:
http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/full/downloads-fc9-x86.php
hsfmodem-7.68.00.13 full k2.6.25 14.fc.i686-1fdr.i686.rpm.zip

Your ModemData.txt has answered:
Start at http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/downloads-license.php to
find the
hsfmodem package matching your System. For several Linux distros,
there are
precompiled drivers matched to specific kernels. These have within the
FileName,
your KernelVersion: 2.6.25_14.fc9.i686
They can be found through
http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/full/downloads.php A more precise
location may be given a few paragraphs below.
If an EXACT Match with your your KernelVersion is not found, one of
the "Generic packages with source" near the bottom of the page must be
used.
Downloaded packages must be moved into the Linux partition (home
folder is OK)
and unzipped with:
unzip hsf*.zip
The installation command for a .deb suffic packages is, with root/adm
permission:
dpkg -i hsf*.deb
while for .rpm suffix it is, with:
rpm -i hsf*.rpm
