Try $ sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf If the modem is found, Edit with $ sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf putting in your personal info , while deleting the ; < > symbols The try to dialout with: $ sudo wvdial If the modem was not detected, run $ sudo hcfconfig --help which among options is running a diagnostic.
