Hi, I've had the lockup myself a few times, but I can't figure out what the problem was.. and since then it's gone away, so I can't re-create it. Which driver tarball did you use? You were right that you need to patch the snd-hda-intel module, though I don't know if it will be used in your case. Is this a PCI card or a modem that is attached to your sound card? Finally, did you mean to say '/dev/ttyAGS3' instead of '/etc/ttyAGS3'?
