Make sure all COMM channels except "lo" are closed before starting a dialout.If there is an eth0 or wireless channel open, DNS services for ppp0will be blocked.Display channels with$ ifconfigShut down (say) eth0 with:$ sudo ifconfig eth0 downRecheck with:$ ifconfig
