hi all ! I just had to copy those 3 binaries (agrmodem,agrserial,snd-hda-intel) in their places /lib/modules/ asf. and it worked like charm. The A110 laptop hat ubuntu 8.04 preinstalled 2-6-24 customized-kernel. excellent job ! got nice V42 connects and trying out fax now ! great job again ! thanks Marvin ! --FA Marvin Stodolsky schrieb:

From http://phep2.technion.ac.il/linmodems/packages/ltmodem/11c11040/ download the agrsm-ubuntu8.04.1-2.6.24-19-generic.tar.gz
search for linux-image-2.6.24-19-generic and download the linux-image-2.6.24-19-generic_SomeVersionInfo.deb
Then unpack: $ tar zxf agrsm*.tar.gz
Move into the new folder: $ cd agrsm-ubuntu8.04.1-2.6.24-19-generic
and run the $ sudo ./setup
