Ahhh! Krisahnu, When you have two or more devices configured for internet, conflicts are likely to happen. When you do not use your Broadband ISP, you turn that interface off, and remove the DNS servers that correspond to that interface. When you need the dialup interface, the broadband should be off so that it will not conflict with the other connection. This is why it is nearly impossible to browse. You had the two processes running ppp0 with pid(process id) of 6093, and the other pid of ppp0 with another pid of 6239. and the tail -f /var/log/messages shows that something did not work with the previous pid of 6039 and that a usb device was unplugged. I am not sure now how to explain this to you. You have to turn off one device to use the other with its configuration and then undo what you did so that the other connection can succeed.
