Hello, Sorry about that, it would seem the patch was truncated somehow. Anyway, the purpose of the patch is to add the following two lines to the alsa-kernel/pci/hda_codec.c: EXPORT_SYMBOL(snd_hda_codec_read) EXPORT_SYMBOL(snd_hda_codec_write) Try opening the file in your favourite editor and searching for those two lines. You should only fine one instance of each. If there are more, delete the extras, and if they are not there, add them. (Best place is at the beginning, right after the #include statements). Let me know what happens, Bjorn. --- menedas <menedas@xxxxxxxx> wrote: > How should I answer? > > Seems I made it wrong (always "patch unexpectedly > ends"): > > ubuntu:~/alsa-driver-1.0.16# patch -p1 < > hda_symbols.patch > patching file alsa-kernel/pci/hda/hda_codec.c > Reversed (or previously applied) patch detected! > Assume -R?
