Hello,
Sorry about that, it would seem the patch was
truncated somehow.

Anyway, the purpose of the patch is to add the
following two lines to the
alsa-kernel/pci/hda_codec.c:

EXPORT_SYMBOL(snd_hda_codec_read)
EXPORT_SYMBOL(snd_hda_codec_write)

Try opening the file in your favourite editor and
searching for those two lines. You should only fine
one instance of each. If there are more, delete the
extras, and if they are not there, add them. (Best
place is at the beginning, right after the #include
statements).
