Hi Clive, It looks like the brackets are still around the user/pass etc. in the file- you'll need to make sure they're not.. and double check in the terminal by typing 'cat /etc/wvdial.conf' you should see: .... ISDN = 0 ; Phone = 0198333713; Password = YOUR_PASSWORD_HERE ; Username = singdeep; ... Hope that helps :) Bjorn. Also, I'd recommend you comment out your password(at least) before you send this to the mailing list- someone can now use your internet account... So i'd recommend you change your pass ASAP. --- Margaret Cumming & Clive Oatley <stay@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Margaret Cumming & Clive Oatley > [mailto:stay@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] > Sent: Wednesday, 16 July 2008 8:14 AM > To: 'Marvin Stodolsky' > Subject: RE: Clive Oatley , Australia, NetComm modem > branded "Mega-i-modem 56k CD2004" > > Dear Marvin, > I composed & saved as per (1), with (2) as the > result.
