Hi Clive, 
It looks like the brackets are still around the
user/pass etc. in the file- you'll need to make sure
they're not.. and double check in the terminal by
typing 'cat /etc/wvdial.conf'

you should see:
....
ISDN = 0 ; 
Phone = 0198333713;
Password = YOUR_PASSWORD_HERE ; 
Username = singdeep;
...

Also, I'd recommend you comment out your password(at
least) before you send this to the mailing list-
someone can now use your internet account... So i'd
recommend you change your pass ASAP.
