Edison,

After shutting down a call with Ctrl-C,
and stopping slmodemd with Ctrl-C

Unload and reload the driver before trying another dialout
# modprobe -r snd-intel8x0m
# modprobe  snd-intel8x0m
Then the modem setup
#  slmodemd -c  INDONESIA  --alsa modem:1
and
# wvdial
