Only send plain text email to the List. More complex formats can hide
viruses and are rejected by the List server. Please thus send to the
List, a I am rarely on line.

If you have not yet installed drivers, follow:
------------------------------------
 Start at http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/full for
eventually download of a hsfmodem-7.68.00.07full_k.deb.zip package
These packages have compiled drivers but will also compile a driver,
if there is a mismatch between the resident kernel and provided driver.
The generic hsfmodem-7.68.00.07full.tar.gz package only provides
compiling support

compiling is necessary packages must be installed, providing:
gcc-3.3 and linux-headers-2.6.18-dcc-smp
linux-libc-dev and libc6-dev may be necessary as well
--------------------

If the drivers have been successfully installed,
send us your /etc/wvdial.conf file
and the error messages upon the dialout failure.
Include the ppp related lines at the end of /var/log/messages
after the failure.
