As related in your ModemData,txt---------------------------Compiling hsfmodem drivers does require linux-libc-dev and libc6-devpackages, for kernels 2.6.24 and later versions. In not included on your install CD, search for them athttp://packages.ubuntu.com----------------------------Once downloaded into your Linux partition, they can be co-installed with:$ sudo dpkg -i li*.debThen rerun the hsfmodem install.
The linux-libc-dev and libc6-dev package contents are added to/usr/include/ wherefrom they are called by a variety of programs.
