For Linux version 2.6.24-17-generic , Linuxant has not yet prepared a
version matched package, which will presently appear at
http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/full/downloads-ubuntu-x86.php

For testing purposes, it will be easiest to do a boot under Ubunut
2.6.24-16-generic, for which there is available
	hsfmodem_7.68.00.10full_k2.6.24_16_generic_ubuntu_i386.deb.zip

>From http://packages.ubuntu.com,  search out libc6-dev and if
necessary the linux-image-2.6.24-16-generic. Under Linux they can be
installed with:
$ sudo dpkg -i *.deb

For the hsfmodem_7.68.00.10full_k2.6.24_16_generic_ubuntu_i386.deb.zip
Unpack under Linux with:
$ unzip hsf*.zip
Start the install with:
$ sudo dpkg -i hsf*.deb
and follow through with the output instructions

Please report back presently, so that the identity of the modem within
   Class 0403: 1002:4383 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc SBx00 Azalia
      Primary device ID:  1002:4383
    Subsystem PCI_id  1025:0124
can be added to the Archive.
