No success yet... Oddly though, upon running the modprobe -r agrmodem
 command I get this error:

 josh@Rusty:~$ sudo modprobe -r agrmodem
 FATAL: Module agrmodem is in use.

 Although after I run the unloading script it allows me to run the
 modprobe -r command. I'm not sure how much of the dmesg.txt file you
 need, I'm guessing this will suffice:

 [ 57.508000] hda-intel: Invalid position buffer, using LPIB read
 method instead.
 [   88.356000] ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:02:02.0[A] -> GSI 22 (level,
 low) -> IRQ 17
 [   88.356000] agrsm: created 1 infos
 [ 88.356000] Loading module Agere Modem Controller driver version
 2.1.60.0.Linspire (2005-11-16)
 [   94.840000] ttyAGS3 at I/O 0xe800 (irq = 11) is a AgereModem
 [ 94.840000] agrserial: Loading module Agere Modem Interface driver
 version 2.1.60.0.Linspire (2005-11-16)

 If not, I can send the entire file. I also tried your suggestion to
 change the operating system to "OTHER" in BIOS with no success. Thanks
 for your time, any more suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
