Adi

With data from your /proc/asound/ (separately sent) showing supported
modem chip 0x11c13026, the modem is setup by:
$ sudo slmodemd -c INDIA --alsa hw:0,6
which acts through the snd-hda-intel audio+modem driver.

The package SLMODEMD.gcc4.1.tar.gz  at
http://phep2.technion.ac.il/linmodems/packages/smartlink/
contains detailed instructions.

ALC883 Analog is a newer chipset, which may require an upgrade to
ALSA version 1.0.15, but test with your current 1.0.14 resources
first.

Please also send me the new ModemData.txt
