Since your modem is recognized and connecting to your linux system, the only
thing that is missing is:

    Username: daniel@xxxxxxx
    password: blah blah

If your isp is peoplepc then:

     Username:  daniel@xxxxxxxxxxxx

If this doesn't work , try the steps written out in this link:
