For  2.6.22-14-generic, at
http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/smartlink/Ubuntu/
there is slamr-2.6.22-14-generic.tar.gz with drivers aalready compiled.
just unpack it under Linux and in its folder, Run
$ sudo ./setup
