Hi, I am having problem getting the internal modem to work on Compaq Presario V3430. I have downloaded scanmodem and run it. Attached is the ModemData.txt From ModemData.txt (and from reading the archives list), I understand my modem is Conexant HSF modem. I downloaded the driver from linuxant hsfmodem-7.68.00.04full_k2.6.18.2_34_default-1suse.i586.rpm I installed the driver using YAST. After installation there is /dev/ttySHSF0 /dev/ttySHSF1 and so on with softlink /dev/modem --> /dev/ttySHSF0 but I cannot make it work Running #wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf shows ttySHSF0<Info>: Device or resource busy One thing I noted: after installing hsf driver, the notebook audio doesnot work. The audio is normal again when I uninstall the hsf driver. I run the presario with OpenSuse 10.2 x86_64 (64 bit). Can someone help me.... Thank you
